I'm going back to school tomorrow.

Back to teach summer writing in an IRL classroom and interact with actual kids existing in the non-digital part of our world. I'm nervous as hell. Our classes will be super-small cohorts who will stay in the same class as we (the teachers) move. There's so many new rules and procedures and most of the groupy, teamy, sharey pedagogy of the past two decades is out the window for now. My back-to-school shopping was some stylin' new masks. Also, I can't get a haircut until the 3rd of July, and I look like Neil from "The Young Ones". The wearing of hats has always upset adult educators for mysterious reasons, but I might have to wear one in the classroom for at least this first week.
